The number of foreign visitors to Singapore increased to 990,000 in
February, the highest ever recorded for the month of February, according
to the Singapore Tourism Board. ore than half the visitors came from Indonesia (177,000), China
(150,000), Malaysia (82,000), Japan (58,000), and Australia (58,000).
These visitors accounted for 53 per cent of total visitor arrivals for
the month. Those are the numbers to be highlighted, the main tourists coming to the region are from Asia itself and this trend is set to continue for many years to come. As Singapore continues to invest much on its tourism attractions, there will be more coming down in the near future. And also as the internet allows for more free flow of information so people are able to log on, make bookings, find out more information and also look for the best deal to get into the region.
