John Woo, director from Hong Kong, who has directed big time films such as Face Off and Mission Impossible 2, was honored at the The Venice Film Festival. He was given the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement and accepted the award from American director Quentin Tarantino, president
of the jury for the main competition at this year's festival. After making some real blockbuster films in Hollywood, he has gone back to China. He feels that it was time he used his knowledge earned from Hollywood
for the betterment of Chinese cinema worldwide. He is currently busy
with 'Red Cliff" based on a war that had taken place in 3rd century
China.John Woo is considered a legend here because not many people would make that move, after they have made it big in Hollywood, they would never return, but he learnt a bit there and is bringing that back to aid the Asian market.Source: http://www.znews24.com
