Thomson Reuters is the next big company to send its top executive to Hong Kong following the move of HSBC CEO to Hong Kong as well. Thomson Reuters employs more than 50,000 people and has a presence in around 100 countries, the move to the East signals that this is the region for the future news as Asia handles the after-effects of the crisis better. The president said in a statement, "Asia is the region that promises the fastest
growth, not just at the moment but also for the future. My relocation
will strengthen Thomson Reuters' commitment to the Asia-Pacific, which
is the highest-growth region for this company"They are doing more as well, there are plans in place to open up more offices in India and China and also the most important is to start having news done in different languages for the people in different areas. This is really big news since the news company seems to think the biggest and best stories related to finance will be in Asia.
