Dunkin Donuts from America has been around for quite a long time in South Korea and has been doing very well indeed and now there are plans in place to open more stores there and also throughout the rest of Asia and in China as well. In South Korea, it has become a very famous spots for teenagers to go there and relax, study and just chill after a long day. They have bright decor and excellent Wi-Fi connection.Now with more shops opening in South Korea, the challenge is for Koreans to start picking up a bagel and coffee and taking it to work with them. That is the main way they make business in Western Regions. They have changed their menu to have more green tea drinks and donuts with an Asian flavor. Also by using celebrities, they are appealing to the 21-30 year old group, who are more willing to try.That is another angle of how Western companies are taking advantage of Asia. Since the youth in Asia are so well connected online and are so curious about the West, they love to imitate them and whenever they see an American eatery, they will go there because that makes them look hip. This is the other reason why any sized company from abroad should defiatnely have a plan Asia in place for the coming years.
