Radio Asia being held in India for the first time, is going to draw lots of attention. The main theme of the event is finding out ways how to digitalize the whole industry. Joan Warner, CEO, Commercial, Radio Australia said that 60% of all radio channels in Australia were digitalized at the moment and could be heard online and the same views were shared by people in India. In the UK, 34% of all people who listen to radio do so by going online. It is all about marketing targeting, if you are going to target the youth people with hip stuff on the radio, you have to go through proper channels and going online is the best way forward now. This opens another window of opportunities for people wanting to enter the online market, trying to have radio online is definitely something to consider. This shows yet again that all the traditional stuff that years ago, you would not have imagined are now all going online. We have seen how universities offer classes online now and how you can buy almost everything online. The next big idea is just around the corner.
