German firm Avira has opened its first Asian office in Hong Kong, targeting markets in the mainland, Taiwan and South Korea. The company deals with selling anti-virus software to people to protect them when they are online. They already have a 100 million people registered around the world and the Asian market is going to give them more customers for sure. "We intend to further expand our customer base in North Asia, capitalizing on fast-growing demand for internet security from this region's rapidly increasing online population," said Tjark Auerbach, the founder and chief executive of Avira. Their way of creating a buzz around Asia was to provide free downloads to the people and it has been well received.They also plan to have their products out in different languages like traditional and simplified Chinese, and Korean versions. It is further vindication that the Asian market is becoming important for everyone around. This is a mainly internet based company and they have seen the number of people online here and gone ahead with this decision. Starting a new online business targeting the Asian market will really be a good start since the people here will go and take a look, imagine having your goods in a store visited by almost everyone.
