Despite overall numbers falling in the number of flights people are taking, the numbers in Asia have overtaken those in North America. People made 647 million journeys in the Asian region last year, but only 638 million in North America, the International Air Transport Association (Iata) said yesterday. China and India were the 2 major reasons for this and this was exemplified by the fact that DragonAir has started increasing the number of flights between Chinese regions. "Demand for both business and leisure travel
has started to pick up, particularly in the mainland market," Dragonair
chief executive James Tong said. Further good news is on the horizon, "by 2013, an additional 217 million travelers per year are expected to take to the skies within the
Asia-Pacific region, the trade body said.Asia is a region where all types of businesses are going to be surging in the coming years. The big bucks are here and everyone has a plan to move to this region in the coming future. With knowledge that people are going to be traveling more, many opportunities come up such as booking tickets online, blogs about vacations and good packages. This is where new domain names could come up and businesses could be created. A surge is definably expected.
