These 2 deals made Asian automakers leapfrog U.S. competitors in annual market share for the first time. China also is going to overtake the United States for total car consumption very soon. The US and other Western nations have suffered a lot in the automobile industry, and the Economic crisis worsened the situation but also showed everyone how powerful Asian car companies are becoming, not only did they grow during the crisis, they posted record growths.
