Daiwa Securities Group, Japan's second largest brokerage, will be going on a hiring spree next year after seeing the Asian market recover so fast. They will be spending around HK$ 9 billion and also be increasing headcount by around 70%. Takashi Hibino, a deputy president of Daiwa Securities Group, said "It is clear that we cannot solely depend on Japan. Asia excluding Japan is where the fastest growth is."Further indication that the Asian market has recovered and a big Japanese company executive saying that the future is not in the home region but to invest in the rest of Asia.
